Assignment

Our consultants have been commissioned by a major vendor to lead their service assurance teams for multiple radio network swaps for leading European MNOs to ensure minimal service degradation and even benefit from new features and technologies to improve service performance. Cumulative scope of more than 15,000 radio sites with all radio technologies, 2G, 3G and 4G.

1. PREPARATION

  • Supported staffing and setup of service assurance teams.
  • Supported process and technical validations.

2. MANAGEMENT

  • Provided day to day management and mentoring of service assurance teams.
  • Provided cross-functional communication with vendor and MNO teams and advised joint programme management teams.
  • Performed regular monitoring of service performance indicators and FCAPS indicators in general and took actions to minimise service degradation, detect and address exceptions, and improve service performance.
  • Provided guidance to end client for the deployment of new features and technologies, including spectrum refarming when needed, to improve system performance and prepare for technology transition. 

3. OUTCOMES

  • Contributed to smooth radio network swaps managed at scale with increased service performance.
  • Enabled further benefits with the introduction of new features and technologies, including further service performance enhancement and streamlined service assurance management.
  • Provided elements of spectrum refarming strategy to prepare technology transition.
