Crowdstrike outage: 8.5 million devices affected!

On July 20th, 2024, Microsoft reported in a blog post that 8.5 million devices were affected by the Crowdstrike outage (resulting in BSOD issues) on July 19th, 2024.

Crowdstrike stated in their own blog post , that devices with the Falcon sensor for Windows version 7.11 and above installation, which may have been updated online between Friday, July 19th, 2024 04:09 UTC and Friday, July 19th, 2024 05:27 UTC could have been impacted.

As a result, operations of airports, ports, hospitals, financial institutions and other businesses around the globe were disrupted.

According to an assessment by Interos , more than 640,000 entities were directly impacted, with up to 49 million customer relationships affected.
